The Call Back Interview

  1. Make sure to arrange all the logistics for visiting the employer.
  2. Call in advance to learn the names of the attorneys with whom you will be interviewing.
  3. Ask about the format of the interview; Will be it several one-on-one interviews, or an interview with a group?
  4. Prepare thoroughly for the interviews. Know about the employer and the interviewers.
  5. Make sure that you have questions to ask the employer.
  6. Show enthusiasm with all interviewers that you meet.
  7. Send a follow-up thank you letter after the interview.

Interview Preparation

The most important thing that you can do to prepare for an interview is to learn as much as possible about the employer with whom you are interviewing. At the very least you should have read about the employer in their Martindale-Hubble listing and conducted some research on the firm through Lexis, Westlaw and the internet.
