Study in Bochum, Germany In cooperation with the School of Law, the Ruhr-Universität in Bochum, Germany, offers research fellowships to Saint Louis University law students and new law faculty. Each fellowship covers a period of up to three months at the Ruhr-Universität. To take advantage of the fellowship, prospective fellows must have sufficient command of the German language. In addition, they must complete the following:
The Center for International and Comparative Law assists applicants in completing the foregoing steps. The Fellowships, provided by the Organization for the Promotion of Legal Science in Bochum (Verein zur Förderung der Rechtswissenschaft e.V., Bochum), will pay the costs of round-trip travel from St. Louis to Bochum. In addition, the fellowship includes a stipend of up to U.S. $800-900 per month to supplement the applicant’s own income or up to U.S. $1,100-1,300 for those who have no income. In appropriate cases, the Center assists applicants in locating additional sources of financial support.
