Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration
and Specialized Business Master's Degrees

The School of Law and the School of Business and Administration jointly administer a program leading to the degrees of Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration. The program provides an awareness of the functional relationship between the legal system and business and administrative organizations. The increasing complexity of both business organizations and non-profit institutions makes such understanding important for students considering careers as corporate lawyers, private practitioners dealing with businesses, and for students interested in government or public service.

All programs of the School of Business and Administration are fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, and the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The objective of the M.B.A. program is to provide a sound academic foundation for professional practice, with emphasis on managerial principles and practices, theories of business analysis, decision-making, and policy formulation.

The first year of study is spent in the basic curriculum in the School of Law . The Summer, Fall and Spring semesters following their first year of law studies, students enroll in and complete their MBA. During each of these semesters, students enroll in the business courses as set out below. Students then use the remaining 3 semesters to complete their law program.
