Date/TimeLocation: Friday, April 18 @ Noon, Room 04 April Showers Personal Care Items Drive Women Law Students' Association, in connection with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, is sponsoring a personal care items drive. Personal care items cannot be purchased with food stamps, and they constitute less than 1% of local donations to food pantries. All items collected in the annual April Showers drive will stay in the area. Last year, the law school collected more than 1,000 items. Please help us achieve our goal of collecting 1,500 items this year. Collection barrels, provided by Operation Food Search, will be placed throughout the law school through Monday, April 14. Items needed include toilet paper, facial tissue, shampoo, soap, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, feminine hygiene products, baby care supplies, disposable diapers, and first aid supplies. Look for a plastic April Showers bag in your mailbox on Friday, April 4. Just fill the bag and put it in one of the barrels. The Student Legal Writers' Association (SLWA) is hosting its first all-student symposium on Friday, April 18. Six students will present their papers. Weekly Mass A weekly mass takes place on Tuesdays. All are welcome to attend this half-hour prayer opportunity. In addition, Campus Ministry sponsors a variety of communal prayer experiences throughout the academic year, including periodic interfaith prayer services.
