Seminar Priority Assignment System:

Students who submit their registration form by the deadline indicated in the Registration Materials are entitled to have their request considered under the following Priority Assignment System.

Priority Assignment: Seminar seats are filled first with third-year students.  To the extent there are more than 12 third-year students requesting a particular seminar, seats are assigned in the following order:

• First, to students graduating that semester who have not fulfilled their seminar requirement. To the extent there are more than 12 third-year students fitting this category,

• If the seminar is offered in the 6-8 p.m. time block, priority will be given to students enrolled in the evening program.

• If the seminar also meets the humanities requirement, priority will be given first to students graduating that semester who need the seminar to fulfill the humanities requirement, and second to students who need the seminar to satisfy a certificate/concentration requirement.

• If the seminar does not meet the humanities requirement, priority will be given to students graduating that semester who need the seminar to satisfy a certificate/concentration requirement.

• Second, priority will be given to students graduating during that academic year with the same order of priority as stated above.

• Third, priority will be given to second-year students who have not fulfilled a seminar requirement.

• Then to other students based on the date/time they submitted their seminar registration form.

Note: Where there are more students with the same priority than space available in the seminar, selection will be made on the basis of the date/time the seminar registration form was electronically transmitted.
