Spring Schedule Options for Second Years

Basic Foundational Bar Courses

>> Administrative Law
>> Commercial Transactions
>> Criminal Procedure I

>> Legal Profession (Students are required to take Legal Profession at the first opportunity it is offered when students can register for elective course work).

Certificate in Health Law Studies

Students interested in pursuing a Health Law Certificate or certificate in Health Care Ethics (through Center for Health Care Ethics) are also encouraged to enroll in Bioethics and the Law.

Certificate in International and Comparative Law

Students interested in pursuing an International and Comparative Law Certificate are also encouraged to consider enrolling in one of the following: International Law, or Juvenile Justice in Nigeria (which will not likely be offered in the near future).

Certificate in Employment Law

Students interested in pursuing an Employment Law Certificate are encouraged to consider enrolling in the following, space permitting: Employment Relations.

Concentrations in Business Transactional Law or Taxation

Students interested in pursuing Concentrations in Business Transactional Law or Taxation are encouraged to consider enrolling in one of the following advanced tax course skills: Partnership Taxation, State and Local Taxation, Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates (pending completion of pre-requisites).

Concentration in Civil Litigation Skills

Students interested in pursuing a Concentration in Civil Litigation Skills are also encouraged to enroll in Trial Advocacy I, Civil Practice, Moot Court I or Moot Court II (if space is available).

Concentration in Criminal Litigation Skills

Students interested in pursuing a Concentration in Criminal Litigation Skills are also encouraged to enroll in Trial Advocacy I, Juvenile Justice in Nigeria, or Juvenile Law .

Concentration in Urban Development, Land Use and Environmental Law

Students interested in pursuing a Concentration in Urban Development, Land Use and Environmental Law are also encouraged to enroll in Administrative Law and Land Use Control, or State and Local Taxation, State and Local Government, or Toxic Tort Practice (if space is available ).
