SBA Mentor Program

The Mentor Program at SLU law is an integral part of the orientation process for first-year students. Groups of incoming 1Ls are paired with second- and third-year students who serve as mentors during orientation and throughout the semester. Mentors provide a personalized welcome to the law school and quickly become a resource for new students as they learn the ropes at SLU. Through lunches, social events and mentor panels, mentors share their experiences about starting law school, including the Socratic method, campus life, outlining and joining student organizations. As the semester progresses, the mentors maintain contact with their mentees at specific mentor/mentee events and via e-mail. The Mentor Program eases the law school transition for first-year students, who hopefully return the favor and serve as mentors to the next incoming class.

Check back soon for sign-up information to be a Mentor.
