Wireless Configuration for Vista
- Click on Start –> Control Panel –> Network Sharing
- Click on Network and Sharing –> Manage Wireless Networks
- Click Add, and fill in the following information as follows (pictured below):
- Network Name (SSID): slunet
- Security type: 802.1

- Click Next –> Change Connection Settings
- Click on the Security tab
- Select Protected EAP (PEAP) from the network authentication pull-down menu (pictured below)

- Click Settings
- Uncheck the boxes labeled Validate Server Certificate and Enable Fast Reconnect
- Under Select Authentication Method, click Configure.

- Uncheck the box labeled “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any),” and click OK.
 
- Click OK/Close to close all open Windows.
- Click on the message “Additional Information is required to connect to slunet” at the bottom right of the screen.

- Enter your credentials (pictured below):
- User name: Your SLU Net ID (email w/out @slu.edu)
- Password: Your SLU Net ID password (same as password for Banner)
- Logon Domain: leave this *blank*

- If prompted, choose a network location. (ITS recommends selecting Public Location).
- After a few moments, the red X in the Wireless icon in the system tray should become a small globe. This means you are connected to the Internet.
